As I sit here in this crowd I think thoughts that aren't allowed Bombs and guns and big bad boys Using people as their toys Limbs are torn and babies cry Corpses attract many a fly Glassy eyes in nerdy heads Are examined by the feds Trying to reconstruct the crime For the first nor the last time Some move slowly through the blood Some are praying to their god Some with nerves that start to fail Some just stand there looking pale Reality is just as cruel Ignorance just seems to rule Homo simplens on the move With just this one thing to prove: To chaos nature tends to strive For all creatures, dead, alive There's no point in trying hard To see what's coming from the start And we cannot do a thing To change whatever time may bring For the end is never clear And salvation's never near We must take things as they come Be it rainbows or the bomb...
