Letter from a friend
Dear Friend,

How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love and care for you. I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would talk to me also. You never called.

As evening drew near, I gave a sunset and a cool breeze to close your day... and I waited, but you never came. It hurt me, but I still love you. I saw you fall asleep last night and I longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your face and pillow. Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. But you didn't call.

You woke up late this morning, and rushed for the day ... no time for me again. My tears were in the rain. Today you look sad and alone. My friends let me down and hurt me many times, so I understand how you feel. I know how hard life is here on earth -- I really know because I see everything. Remember?

And I want to help you. Just call me! Ask me! Talk to me! My ear is always open for a friend; and you are my friend. I have so many gifts to give you; peace on a day of care and turmoil, guidance on a day of confusion and hard decisions, strength on a day of wickedness and helplessness -- just to name a few.

I love you and want to help you. I try to tell you this in the quiet green pasture of my letters. I whisper it in the quiet of your heart. I breath it into your soul. I shout it from the heavens! Just call me! Ask me! Talk to me! It's a privilege you have as my friend. I wait.

Your friend,

God
